I know this is totally out of order , but the story of this trip would not be complete without telling about the generator. We got to the Grand Canyon hot & tired,, found our site & started the generator.
The campground doesn't have electricity so we needed the generator to run the Air condition . ( Rosie can not take the heat, spoiled dog ) now we tested the generator at home & know it works.
Every time we plug the camper into it the overload light comes on & the air won't run. After trying lots of different things, The only thing we can figure our is there is a short in the cord.
So we had to cut our Grand Canyon stay a day short. We found a camping world in Vegas 3hrs away. We got up the next morning & headed to Vegas.
I stopped at MCdonalds in Williams ,AZ to update you guys. As we were leaving I numbed into Cara with my coffee & it spilled, I set My IPad down & left it there. We did not discover this until 60 miles later. We called them on the phone & it was a miracle that no one had stolen it. We had to turn around & go get it. On the bright side we did get to stop at the Hoover Dam. (You already know how that turned out )The story gets better, when we finally get to Vegas Camping world has closed.
We find a Koa near camping world & it is on the strip right behind Circus Circus.
What the heck we are Vegas it"s 9 o'clock at night, this city never sleeps right? We head to eat at the pepper Mill , which had the full Vegas experience lifted booths, fancy drinks & cocktail waitresses wit ruffle panties you can see. Frannie says " they make them where that"?
Finally the next morning Camping world I buy the cord & they have changed the plug , it won't fit.
They send us to Findley RV 17 miles back across Vegas AM traffic. They turned out to be our heroes they had the cord , let me try it for free to make sure it worked.
Drum roll......... Ta Da it worked the other cord must have had a short. Rosie will have air, Yay!
Wow! What an exhausting story! You've had tons of adventure that's for sure! Miss seeing you around at church...
